LA MAISON YOSHIMI – A UNIQUE HOME
Vézénobres is a medieval village ideally located between the Mediterranean Sea, the Cévennes mountains and the Rhone Valley, surrounded by the « garrigues » - the typical bushy flora of the South. Maison Yoshimi was born in this charming landscape. Chisato Yoshimi, a Japanese from Kyoto, felt in love with this village, beginning with the breathtaking view from her terrace.
Today, even after more than 10 years, Chisato is still fascinated by this view, from the sunrise over the valley to the sunset on the Cévénnes mountains, reflecting on the stone walls of her village.
Centrally located in the Gard, between the historical cities of Nîmes and Alès, Vézénobres is a cultural crossroads, with a surprising cosmopolitan atmosphere in the heart of the nature. The Maison Yoshimi is not only a just place to pass through: it is a wonderful gathering place - to get together and to exchange.
Have you said unique? Yes, a unique blend of "Bed and Breakfast" and "non-profite organization", la Maison Yoshimi promotes extraordinary cultural and artistic exchange between Japan, France and why not, other countries! In a friendly atmosphere, Chisato organizes Japanese painting, cooking, pottery workshops in this charming village of Southern France. It is also the place to live an authentic experience of the French art of living.
Nothing is ever set in stone : every guest, every visitor can contribute to create the history of Maison Yoshimi. An exceptional site, for genuine human encounters and for new and enriching experiences of life.
